Wire Rope Design Requirements for Electric Hoist

1. Wire ropes for electric hoists should use wire contact wire ropes preferentially. Its structure type should conform to the rope 18×7 and rope 6×37 in GB/T8918, and its nominal tensile strength should be no less than 1570 MPa.
2. The wire rope should be arranged in order on the reel.
3. When the load is supported by multiple wire ropes, a pulley device that balances the force of each wire rope should be provided.
4. When the hook is at the lowest point of the working position, the safety ring of the wire rope on the reel must not be less than 2 turns (except for the number of turns of the fixed tail).
5. When fixing the wire rope with a wedge joint, it shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T 5973.
6. Electric hoists used for lifting molten metals should adopt effective radiation-proof heat separators and other measures for wire ropes.
